Located in the heart of Singapore, Marina Bay Sands is an integrated resort and a renowned global icon for luxury and innovation. With 11,000 employees, the resort includes a 2,561-room hotel, a 120,000-square-metre convention-exhibition center, the world’s largest atrium casino, and much more. This 20-hectare resort aspired to attain a level of suavity and panache while meeting the access control requirements of the staff. They sought a biometric solution that was functional yet intuitively designed to merge with its magnificent ambiance.
Ask for a Visually Stunning yet Powerful Product
Extraordinary destinations such as integrated resorts and magnificent hotels require unmatched security measures that conveniently harmonize with their spectacular aesthetics. A symbol of modernization, the striking aesthetic of MBS blurs the line between art and architecture. Needless to say, the first ask of Marina Bay Sands was to look for a trusted partner who could help maintain this high degree of sophistication. Additionally, this integrated resort aimed to migrate from access cards to biometrics streamlining shift changes as a vital component of their larger digital transformation strategy. The traditional methods of managing shift changes were time-consuming, error-prone, and cumbersome, affecting overall operational efficiency. With 11,000 employees, they required a biometric solution that boasts of fast authentication, large user capacity, mask detection functionality, and multi-card support.
Invixium Optimizes Efficiency with Aesthetic Elevation
Certis Technology, a leading outsourced services partner that designs, builds, and operates multi-disciplinary smart security and integrated services, came to Marina Bay Sands’ rescue by solving their plethora of specific security needs with one solution: Invixium. Most of the biometric products available in the market are clunky, industrial-looking modules that are painful to use and install. Invixium’s biometric access control solutions are visually stunning, tremendously powerful, and easy to use. Marina Bay Sands turned to IXM TITAN, the most advanced face recognition access control solution on the market today, along with IXM TOUCH 2, Invixium’s interactive, most popular Fingerprint reader. These solutions were primarily chosen for their sleek, modern design and powerful cutting-edge technology. They not only provide a seamless and secure experience but also elevate the overall aesthetic of this monumental building, maintaining their commitment to architectural beauty. IXM TITAN and IXM TOUCH 2 provide a combined solution that uses multi-modal capabilities to ensure safe and secure access control of the hotel’s personnel. With IXM Link, a software module within IXM WEB offers seamless integration of TITAN and TOUCH 2 with Gallagher Command Centre as the central access control system. With 40 devices strategically installed throughout the resort, Invixium’s solutions seamlessly integrated with Marina Bay Sands’ ecosystem.
