Description

Device Groups is a logical grouping of devices where every device must be assigned to at least one device group at the time of registration. Device(s) can be added to any device group(s) as well as one device can be added to multiple device groups. Whenever a device group is assigned to any device, all the user group(s) which are associated with that device group are also transferred. Different symbols on the device group page indicate different sync status. The sync status can be classified as follows:

1. Synchronized user or device group.

2. Non synchronized user or device group.

There has been a major enhancement to the Device Groups feature from IXM WEB release 1.3.0.0 onwards where the Default Group has been removed. Existing installations of IXM WEB that upgrade to version 1.3.0.0 will continue to see the Default Group. New or fresh installations of IXM WEB 1.3.0.0 will not have the Default Group present.

4. Drag and drop user groups from the list on the right side and place in the User Group(s) section of the required device group. Click Sync to start the synchronization process.

5. Group Synchronization Status will be displayed.

6. Click Group(s) Sync Status pop-up to see a detailed status of the synchronization process.

7. Click Log(s) to view the detailed individual stats.

8. A red cross indicates failure of synchronization between User Group and Device Group. Click “” button to remove user group or device from device group.

9. Click Sync to synchronize all the device(s) and User Group(s) available in Device Group(s).

10.Click Delete to remove Device Groups from IXM WEB.

11.Reconfirm the action by clicking on Delete in the pop-up dialog. If “Cancel” option is selected, then no action will be taken.
