The system integrator, Infinite Miracle Integra, addressed this company’s unique requirements by introducing Invixium’s rugged biometric solutions, IXM TITAN and IXM TFACE, from their Industrial Series. These advanced touchless biometric devices were deployed at critical entry points to ensure fast and accurate employee and visitor authentication. Features like mask detection, PoE+ support, and tailored customization ensured the system met the facility’s exact operational priorities. Invixium’s all-in-one software platform, IXM WEB, further helped streamline and centralize operations. Several customizations were implemented, including Visual Map integration that displays real-time events, such as user transactions, alarms, and door status, along with the precise location of devices on graphical maps and floor plans. OCR integration for Visitor Management was introduced to accelerate the registration and check-in process by automatically reading Indonesian identity documents, including KTP (Kartu Tanda Penduduk – National Identity Card) and SIM (Surat Izin Mengemudi – Driving License), ensuring a faster and more accurate visitor experience. To date, 25 devices have been installed and are actively used by approximately 150 employees daily.

Beginning in 2018, LightEdge sought to standardize on biometrics for a unique security application for both employees and visitors. Prior to modernizing their access control, LightEdge was using a hand geometry-based system to activate visitor cards as part of their check-in process and to secure critical areas with mantraps. Across LightEdge’s seven locations in the Midwestern United States, the security system would have to provide access control for hundreds of people including data center employees, tenants and visitors at each location. Further, LightEdge has experience with RS2’s access control software and the HID SEOS cards used at card reader doors, so their new biometric solution would need to be compatible with existing solutions.

LightEdge selected the Invixium IXM TITAN because it is a high security biometric solution that blends air-tight access control with sophisticated design thanks to its multi-biometric capabilities and elegant construction with an all-aluminum body and a 5.0” LCD screen to display authentication instructions. The installed system is integrated with AccessIt! by RS2 Technologies and has replaced hand geometry and card readers at two of LightEdge’s seven locations so far.
